Do you accept health insurance?Yes, we accept most major health insurance.

What is telehealth? Telehealth is an electronic way for your counseling sessions to be completed in an efficient and safe manner. We provide a consultation prior to your scheduled visit to explain the process and to sign up.

Is telehealth for me? Each person is screened during a consultation to see if they are a good fit. At that time, you can ask our operations manager any questions you may have regarding your first visit. If you prefer a scheduled consultation with a therapist please call us to schedule.

How is my information protected? All of your information is protected by HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act) which is a national guideline to protect the privacy of clients. Additionally we use technology assisted applications which are encrypted to ensure the transmittal of any information additionally comply with these standard.

Is telehealth as good as face to face treatment? Research studies that have recently shown that there is no difference in the efficacy of treatment, as long as the the counselor and therapist build a strong con nection and the client is appropriate for online therapy.

Will my insurance pay for sessions?Most insurance companies do reimburse for Telemedicine sessions. You are responsible to contact your insurance carrier to ensure you have "Telemedicine Benefits for Behavioral Health". For North Carolina residents, Insurance will not be available until Fall/2021.

What is the difference between Telehealth and Telemedicine? Telehealth refers to the methods in which we communicate (text, email, apps, etc.) Telemedicine refers to the treatment (counseling sessions). There are also other words that are used, including but not limited to, web counseling, online counseling, telebehavioral health and a host of others.
